Hairspray and Oil and Gels, Oh My!

Don't let the cold air dry out your hair this season! Hair tucked into wool hats can get static-y and create split ends *Yuck!*. So to avoid any of this, I've created a list of all the tools we need to keep our locks in tip-top shape:

1. Some kind of oil serum to slick down the ends of our hair (relaxes frizziness and static). I use L'anza Neem Plant Silk Serum.
2. A dry shampoo. Can be a total lifesaver. Since you're only supposed to wash your hair every other day, it also helps with preventing damage and keeping color-treated hair. I use Treseme Dry Shampoo for Straight/Oily Hair.
3. A good blow dryer/straightener. This is crucial for keeping your hair sleek and managable. If you like your hair wavy instead, here's a little trick. After I get out of the shower, I part my hair in half and do two braids. When you wake up in the morning your hair will be dry and perfectly crimped. Spray with medium hold hairspray and, viola! Plus you don't damage your hair with steam-innducing curling irons.

So there are the essentials. Also it helps to hit up the fashion mags and get some ideas so your hair doesn't fall into drab-territory. Mix a new hairstyle into your weekly rountine and wow everyone!*
